Madison Chinese School (Fall 2006)
Madison Chinese School in Fall 2006 Semester is opening for ENROLLMENT.
Madison Chinese School (MCS) is a non-profit organization. The purpose
of MCS is to teach Chinese language and culture to school-age children.
This is a program sponsored by UW-Madison, Department of East-Asian
Languages and Literatures. The curriculum teaches traditional Chinese
phonetics (Zhu(4) In(1) Fu(2) Hao(4)) and traditional Chinese
characters. The course materials are the 12-volume textbooks for
overseas Chinese provided by the government of Republic of China, as
well as supplemental materials selected and compiled from various
sources by teachers and parents. 13 two-hour sessions meet on Sundays
during each semester.

Nov. 26 is thanksgiving weekend.
Time: 1:30 - 3:30 PM.
Location: Rooms 2221, 2231, 2241, 2251, 2261, Humanity building,
University of Wisconsin - Madison, 445 N. Park
Street (Northeast corner of University and Park).
Tuition: $100 per student, plus $5 per family registration fee.
Classes: Normally three classes, beginner, intermediate and
advanced will be offered. The actual number of classes
depend on the number of enrollment.
Age requirement: A student should be five years of age
or older to enroll.
